(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “This situation will definitely take place in other countries, because the people do not completely approve of their rulers, and, in many countries, the people do not want their governments,” Farahmand said on Saturday.
“Because, on the one hand, there is dictatorship and, on the other hand, the people's demands are ignored,” he said.
The lawmaker pointed to the Islamic awakening in the Arab world and said just as the people of those countries were unhappy with their rulers and took action against them, the same thing is happening in European countries.
The unrest in the UK erupted on August 6, when a few hundred people gathered outside a police station in the north London suburb of Tottenham to protest against the fatal shooting of a black man, Mark Duggan, by the police.
The turmoil then spread to other major cities in the UK, such as Birmingham, Liverpool and Bristol.
London Police have resorted to a brutal crackdown on protesters, arresting more than 1,500 people.
